Rafal Site
The Es Rafal site is an invaluable archaeological witness that allows us to travel back in time to the Talayotic culture, a prehistoric civilization that flourished in Mallorca between 1300 BC and the Roman conquest.
Dominated by a large circular talayot, this site is an emblematic example of the megalithic constructions characteristic of the Talayotic culture. These monumental stone buildings were erected as towers or tombs, fulfilling functions that could range from habitation to ceremonial or defensive, and their imposing presence still evokes the ingenuity and capacity of the prehistoric peoples of the Balearic Islands.
Ca’n Palou Cave
The findings in the cave of Ca’n Palou, such as the bronze statue of Greek origin dated to the second half of the 5th century BC, suggest cultural and commercial exchanges with other Mediterranean civilizations, demonstrating that Mallorca was already inserted in the dynamics of antiquity long before the arrival of the Romans.
Wineries
A visit to the Santa Eugenia wineries is a sensory experience. Visitors are invited to tour the vineyards, often guided by the winemakers themselves who passionately share their knowledge of indigenous varieties such as Manto Negro and Callet, as well as international ones that have found a new home on Mallorcan soil.
Wine tastings at Santa Eugenia are a ritual that celebrates the palate. In the tasting rooms, glasses are filled with wines that tell stories of the land: robust reds and aromatic whites. Sommeliers explain tasting notes, while visitors learn to discern the subtleties that make each wine distinctive.
The wineries are not only dedicated to producing exquisite wines, but are also committed to sustainable farming practices. Respect for the land and biodiversity is palpable in their holistic approach, from water management to the use of organic methods that ensure the health of the vineyards for future generations.
In today’s context, where consumers are increasingly looking for authenticity and connection with the source of what they consume, Santa Eugenia’s wineries stand out as enriching destinations. Here, the passion for wine is transmitted in every bottle, inviting wine lovers from all over the world to discover the magic of Mallorca’s wines.
