Treurer implements a circular economy project subsidized by Consell de Mallorca

En el mes de septiembre de 2022, Treurer ha implantado un proyecto de economía circular en paralelo a la instalación de su nueva almazara.

El proyecto consiste en aprovechar el alperujo derivado de la producción de aceite de oliva, que se considera como un residuo peligroso, introduciéndolo en un proceso de compostaje. El compost resultante se utilizará como fertilizante de los olivos de la finca Treurer. Este proceso supone eliminar todos los residuos asociados al proceso de producción de aceite de oliva, convirtiendo un residuo en un recurso.

El proyecto ha contado con una subvención del Departament de Sostenibilidad y Medio Ambiente del Consell de Mallorca, por importe de 20.000 euros.

He has a background in economics and law, and has taken numerous courses related to foreign trade, olive agronomy and extra virgin olive oil production techniques. His training and experience of more than 15 years in the world of olive oil are her guarantee to lead this project.
